Why Old Cobran?
-
Our rams are tested via a stringent selection criteria and they myst meet these parameters. This includes structurally correct, waterproof wool, breeding qualities and positive fat and muscle.
-
βMullameahβ is home to Old Cobran. We have varying land types of heavy creek flats to steep hills that carries into dense native and picturesque bush land. We are committed to running a sustainable business.
-
In 2017 we ceased mulesing. Breech wrinkle and breech cover are traits we put heavy emphasis on at classing time to ensure we are making high genetic gain that will improve and transition your sheep to a non-mules flock.
About βMullameahβ
βMullameahβ is the home of Old Cobran Poll Merino Stud. We run an extensive commerical Merino and Angus cattle operation, joining 5,000 merinos annually and 200 Angus beef breeders.
Environment and Sustainabilty
We are committed to running a sustainable and profitable business, at the same time not allowing this to implicate the environment in a negative way. Mullameahβ has seen an extensive vegetation improvement program been put into place since 2019. Approximately 400haβs of land varying from dense bush to native grasslands has been set aside to preserve and encourage natural flourishing of native flora and fauna under the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT).
